While every person wishes to have a perfect skin, this is not always the case. Skin imperfections can occur at any time and have various causes. The majority of these skin issues present no risks to our health and well-being, but their mere presence is annoying and we would do anything to get rid of them.
Below you will find a list of the most common skin problems, together with ways of how to get rid of them quick, easy, and natural. So, all you need to do is dedicate some time to care for your skin, as all of these methods can be done at home, as not everybody has the time and resources to visit the cosmetician all the time.
Blackheads
Blackheads occupy the first position because they are probably one of the most bothering skin problems. They can appear on every type of skin, although the dry skin is the least prone to the appearance of blackheads, due to the low levels of sebum and tighten pores. But, even so, these pesky blackheads find a way, a spot on your skin where they develop, ruining the clear aspect of your skin. To start with, a proper skin care routine should prevent the appearance of blackheads or, at least, diminish their number.
Thus, depending on your skin type, make sure you properly cleanse your skin twice a day, in the evening and in the morning, as dermatologists recommend. After removing dirt from your skin, use an appropriate toner that will shrink your pores and will make them less accessible for dirt and debris. Also, apply a mask periodically, like a clay mask, a black mask, or any other mask that can detox and clean the skin in depth. Once blackheads appear, no matter how much you scrub, you won’t manage to make them disappear.
The only way to do this is to open the pores and remove the dirt that is trapped inside. A professional cosmetician can do this or you can do it at home, after steaming your face in order to open the pores and with the right tools, never with your fingernails.
Warts
Warts are unaesthetic skin growths that can appear in various parts of the body, depending on their type. They usually appear on hands, as the hands are the ones that come in contact with the virus that causes them in the majority of situations. But, warts can also develop if a skin area is pressed and rubbed continuous, like the finger that is holding the pen in the case of writers and teachers, as the action of continuously writing leads to the appearance of this skin imperfection.
Still, it is worth knowing that warts can be contagious, so if you touch the skin of someone that has warts, there are high chances for you to get it as well, especially if the virus reaches an area where the skin is ruptured. So, make sure to wash your hands as often as possible, especially after visiting public areas. If you are lucky, a wart may go away on its own, if it is not that severe. But, in most cases, they need external intervention to disappear.
A doctor can help you with their removal or you can do it at home, by applying salicylic acid plasters on them. Just do have patience if you choose at-home treatments, as it may take a while until the wart will fall off.
Skin tags
Skin tags, although they look bad, they are not dangerous at all. They appear in the areas where there is an intensive friction of the skin, against itself or against the clothes. Luckily, there are more than enough ways to get rid of skin tags and the best part is that none is painful. You see, skin tags do not present vascularization, as healthy skin has, so removing them will not cause you any discomfort.
So, if you have skin tags you want to get rid of, you can use any of these methods for safely removing skin tags. For example, you can use apple cider vinegar on the skin tags, as apple cider vinegar is something everybody has around the house or is cheap to buy. Because apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, it is such a great treatment for this kind of skin issues. Before applying it to the skin tag, you will have to wash the skin and dry it.
Then take a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar and apply it on the affected area, allowing it to act for the next 15 minutes. Coconut oil is another great treatment, as it is also an antibacterial agent, due to the lauric acid it contains. All you need to do is to rub a small amount of coconut oil on the skin tag every day before going to bed and you should notice its reduction in size or even disappearance in a few days. Besides these, there are other remedies you can use to get rid of skin tags.
Pimples or zits
Pimples and zits are among the most frustrating skin defects, as they always appear without any previous notice. You just wake up in the morning and there it is, staring back at you while looking at your face in the mirror. In order to avoid this from happening, you should have a proper skin hygiene, so that debris, bacteria, and germs are not allowed to dwell on your skin, as they can trigger this kind of problems.
Of course, when washing your face be gentle and don’t scrub, because you can produce lesions that will turn into open windows for germs. But, if pimples and zits do occur, salicylic acid is the most common and effective way to get rid of them. Whatever you do, don’t bug them or try popping them, as you will do worse. You need to apply the salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, natural clay, or whatever treatment you are using, on the pimple or zit and allow it to dry off on its own.
